Introduction[]
Poseidon is a Greek god used as a character in TToR, oftentimes helping out the protagonists. He also acts as a giver of life advice and moral support to those who need it, such as how he helped Carnie get more self confident and helped Kate get over her mental trauma. He is also very close to his brother Hades, the two often being in the same places and agreeing on some things. Poseidon is also seen doing other normal god things, such as creating giant sea monsters that exclusively target fishing vessels to stop overfishing and inventing new whale species. He is a known alcoholic, one of many in town.
History[]
Earlier Life[]
Poseidon was born on Mount Orthrys to the ruling titans Cronus and Rhea. He had three older sisters, Hestia, Demeter and Hera, as well as an older brother Hades. Just like his older siblings, he was swallowed whole by his father, who wanted to prevent any of them from overthrowing him. It was in the gut of the Titan that he met his older siblings, becoming especially close to Hades, his brother. The two bonded over the idea of overthrowing and killing Cronus and taking control of the world together to make it better for everyone(unaware it was still the golden age). Sure enough, Poseidon and his siblings were regurgitated. Poseidon was first, followed by his older siblings. He and Hades were ready to take on and kill the sickened titan, but were ordered to stand down by another man. This man was Zeus, their youngest brother who escaped the fate the others had. Instead, the six siblings retreated to another mountain and began to build up a resistance movement. Poseidon was the one to convince Helios to join them. So he would stand a fighting chance, Poseidon was granted a trident that could channel his powers better. After the ten-year war known as the Titanomachy was over and the titans who sided with Cronus were banished to Tartarus with their leader, Poseidon and his brothers were granted a domain. Hades got the underworld, Poseidon got the sea and Zeus got the sky. Poseidon was around to witness the K/T mass extinction and met Leviathan by that point. According to the description of a picture he posted, he rode a Tyrannosaurus rex during the event. Poseidon married Amphitrite at some point and had many sons with many lovers. After a while, this life got boring for him and he left to go find something more entertaining, eventually finding his way to the town’s shores...
Meeting the Others[]
Poseidon first appeared at a party hosted by Fiery Carnotaurus and Jessica. Also at the party were Thor, Magni, Mothi, Jim, Mij, Baldr, Gavinrad, Njörd, Godzilla, Minilla, and Quetzalcoatl, among others. He ended up becoming good friends with many of these people. At one point, he, Thor and Njörd were sitting on a bench as it rained, but they looked up and realized it was actually sweat from Sobek. As they went in, Jessica told the three that they smelled terrible and told them to go take a shower, leading to an awkard shower experience for all three of the deities.
Everything after That[]
Poseidon went on to join the fight against Loki and all the villains he summoned. He also spectated a few later conflicts. He at one point helped Carnie get self confident again. He fought against Loki and his goons a second time after Kate was kidnapped, and after they saved her, he helped her cope with and get over the trauma she sustained there. He also tried to help Carol, being the one to summon Hades, however, she still died anyways. He attended her funeral. He also helped Evie and Nora with their respective problems as well. He also saw Jane as a client, and Freyr is known to have paid Poseidon a visit after the incident with genderbent Thor. Most recently, Poseidon helped save a young foxgirl from a terrible home, but her fate is unknown.
Personality[]
Poseidon is a caring and protective person. He provides moral support and life advice to characters in need of it and helps his friends in tough situations. He is also very close to his brother, as the two had bonded over thoughts of world domination during the hardest of times. Poseidon cares a lot about the sea, as it is his domain, and works to keep it in tact.

Strengths[]
- Immortality - Poseidon, as a Greek god, is immortal and therefore can’t die.
- Powers - Poseidon, as a Greek god is incredibly strong, durable, and fast. Additionally, he can cause earthquakes and storms due to his primordial ancestry.
- Weaponry - The trident of Poseidon amplifies his powers and provides an object he can properly channel them through.
- Creator - Poseidon can create entirely new creatures from nothing. He did this in TToR to end overfishing.
- Master of the Seas - As the god of the sea, Poseidon can not only get sea animals to do his bidding, but also can see everything that goes on there. Somehow, he can filter through that to see exactly what he’s looking for.
Weaknesses[]
- Stronger Enemies - While Poseidon is very strong and formidable, he isn’t the strongest thing alive and as seen with his experiences fighting Typhon and Cronus, he can’t fight either of them on-on-one and needs help fighting them.

- Poseidon’s role as the town’s emotional support wasn’t planned, and was going to be a one time thing. But Fiery liked the idea of Poseidon helping others in that way and had him keep doing it.
